Everyone that owns a car must have car insurance, it's the law in all 50 states. However, the law does state that you must over pay. When shopping for car insurance it is important to not only look at price but the quality of the insurance company itself and it’s ability to pay claims. Car Insurance Companies are rated by a rating agency. The higher the rating the better financial health the insurance company is in. Insurance and financial companies with an "A" rating are usually the best bet in their claims pay abilities. Think about it, if you have a great price but the company is very slow in processing and paying claims, or worse and can’t make a payment, you may be better off paying a little more to get better service. Ultimately this may lead to a higher satisfaction rate if everything gets taken care of in a timely manner in case you actually need to use your insurance for a claim. When buying car insurance try to evaluate your purchase just like you would anything else. Try to base your decision not only on price but on quality and you may walk away a much more satisfied consumer in the end. It is after all not always about what is the cheapest but a combination of price and quality.
